The IUOE Training & Education Center will be offering classes in all areas of crane operation from
introductory to advanced, including Rigging, Assembly/Disassembly and Multiple Crane Lifts. Members will have access to set
up, configure, and operate some of the newest mobile and tower cranes in the construction industry.
Manufacturer brands that are onsite: Link Belt, Manitowoc, Grove, Liebherr, Terex, Tadano and
Potain. 

New Crane Technology (Level 2) - This course is an introduction to the new computer systems found on the modern cranes of today and how an operator may use them effectively. Topics and systems covered in this class include, Manitowoc, Link-Belt, Tadano, Grove, Liebherr, Terex, variable base outrigger systems, (Liebherr Variobase, Link-belt V-Calc, Tadano Smart Chart), how the modern integrated computer and hydraulic systems effect machine operation, proper and effective use of operation manuals and other machine documentation, crane safety and load chart reading.

 

Prerequisites for Level 2 Course – Member must have completed ITEC Level 1 Crane Operations course or be certified/licensed for hydraulic and/or lattice boom cranes. Certifications/licenses include NCCCO, OECP, Red Seal.
