GPS Modeling and Takeoff - In Modeling and Takeoff, members will learn the basics of creating a design Model for use in machines and rovers, as well as how to do a simple office takeoff for Bidding purposes. Members will be lead through the process of building at least one simple site project and a simple road project and will export them into all three GPS systems used at ITEC; Leica, Topcon, Trimble. Members will also create a simple site project Takeoff for Bidding purposes.

 

CAD software used in this class will be primarily Trimble Business Center. Trimble Business Center is a robust software capable of creating and exporting designs to any GPS system. Magnet office by Topcon is also on site and available to members.

 

GNSS Modeling for Trimble and Topcon - GNSS Modeling with cover the basics of creating surfaces and line work for Topcon and Trimble systems using the Trimble Business Center software program. 

Members will learn to build basic subdivisions, site projects, and county roads/highways for GNSS machine control and rover. 

Members will learn importing field data, importing engineer plans and cad, exporting data to machines and rovers, and basic calculations for project management. 

Trimble Business Center is a Robust program used to create GNSS models for Trimble, Topcon and Leica Systems. 

Prerequisites - A good understanding of machine control and or rover is strongly suggested for this course.
