GPS Modeling and Takeoff - In Modeling and Takeoff, members will learn the basics of creating a design Model for use in machines and rovers, as well as how to do a simple office takeoff for Bidding purposes. Members will be lead through the process of building at least one simple site project and a simple road project and will export them into all three GPS systems used at ITEC; Leica, Topcon, Trimble. Members will also create a simple site project Takeoff for Bidding purposes.

 

CAD software used in this class will be primarily Trimble Business Center. Trimble Business Center is a robust software capable of creating and exporting designs to any GPS system. Magnet office by Topcon is also on site and available to members.

 

This class will help the experienced GNSS operator of machines or rovers to progress to the next level. This course will focus on understanding work flow guides and functions in Trimble Business Center Heavy Construction Edition. Instruction will include importing and exporting data and data management. Trainees will also be exposed building site models and corridors.
