This is a one week class, the class runs 6 days/week, 10 hours a day. This class is intended for someone who has never operated a Live Draw-Works machine. The Sideboom you will be utilizing for class is a Caterpillar 572 - no hydraulics - all mechanical. Subjects to be covered are:
1. Basic controls of the machine, Clutches, Dogs, Brakes, ETC.
2. How to properly engage the brakes
3. How to properly engage the clutches
4. How to properly engage the dogs
5. How to use clutch and brake steering
6. How to cross-clutch steer on a hillside
7. How to properly boom in and out utilizing friction etc.
