Course Description

OPEN TO IUOE INSTRUCTORS Only

AUTHORIZES INSTRUCTOR TO TEACH: Rigging and Signaling Safety Awareness.

Topics include the configuration and types of slings, rigging hardware, the types of hitches and basic calculations, communications, power line safety, and lift plans. Students are given rigger and signal person qualifi cation criteria and protocol for issuing IUOE CPWR cards as a qualified rigger and/or a qualified signal person.
