The Rigging and Signaling Class covers basic rigging principles (preparing the load, calculating rigging capacities, selecting hitches), Inspection, selection and proper use of hardware, synthetic slings, wire rope slings and chain slings with focus on factors affecting capacity. The Signal portion of the class covers the requirements of a qualified signal person and the proper ways of communicating hand, voice audible and new signals.
